Crewelwork was developed in 17th century Jacobean England but has since become very popular in other parts of the world, especially in Kashmir, where it has become a strong tradition. A white wool thread forms a delicate floral pattern on a blush pink quilted linen base. It would be used as a stand along piece to brighten up your living space, but we recommend to partner it with its matching quilt in your bedroom.
